Probably not much you don’t already know but there’s another thread about this subject here. Do the same with the asio manager. Now also installed them on the bit Windows 7 edition. But I have a nifty Lian Li computer case that matches the breakout box very nicely. I did not experienced blue screens so far, but the old 5.

Then since installing the full copy well, OEM of Windows 7 Pro its all gone t1ts up – its fine when youve just installed the driver, but then on a subsequent restart it simply crackles and pops, and anything you play out of it ‘shifts’ heavily from loud to quiet.

Been using it for years now. Thanks so much for the note, Esco91 – I’m glad I checked back. I mainly want to use the card cause it’s convenient – I pass through spdif output over an optical cable from my mac to my pc, which has my studio monitors connected. The digital out spdif from my motherboard sounds different than the analogue out from 6firs Terratec.
Anyway, when the W7 compatibility checker said it wouldn’t work with W7, I decided it was time to move on.
MEDIA – TerraTec – DMX 6fire 24/96 Computer Driver Updates
There are no W7 drivers for my 6fire LT from Terratec and they say they don’t support development anymore. I can confirm that the drivers linked to by guruboolez worked for me in Vista x64 and continue to do so in Windows 7 x64 Home Premium.
I have standardized on Sound could always be restored by disabling and then wineows the device, so I put a batch file to do that on my desktop.
Makes me think twice before buying any Terratec product in the future!! Anyone have any ideas? I’m going to be close to my max budget on the new machine alone, so I don’t have much of a budget. Easy Driver Pro updates your Tereatecbased on the scan, and matches to the latest most compatible versions.
Essentials Only Full Version. No, I didn’t have to tweak anything.
Sound devices in Windows 7
Some XP installs – problems loud noise, hums, card just stops. So there’s still a life for the DMX with W7. I guess I will have to reinstall Seven from a clean slate. I had the same card, but abandoned it when I upgraded to a new computer and win 7.
These apps will allow you to check your Internet speed, get a PC backup and even tune-up your PC performance. In my opinion an unsatisfiable answer. It checks everything such as sound card, graphic card, monitor, mouse, printer, etc. When it is winvows scanning it will automatically update them to the latest, most compatible version.
Sorry – it’s the WinXP driver. Jean Francois, Thanks for your report. I could imagine even better but it’s still a huge improvement over the situation before.

And now, I am unable to re-install it, it won’t be recognized in the Devide Manager. I would leave the computer and come back an hour later to no sound.
In Windows XP I could playback sounds and the Terratec Control showed me 44,1 kHz master clock when playing lossless files with foobar. Visit the device manufacturer’s website to download the latest versions.

Please keep us posted. Does windos affect quality because of some resampling being required? I was afraid of that. But I have a nifty Lian Li computer case that matches the breakout box very nicely. Maybe XP and 7 have more architectural differences than I thought.
